My position on the Rensselaer campus encompasses all things relating to food. I oversee and participate in the resident dining menus, catering and our retail cafes on campus. I am also responsible for our Kosher, Halal and Vegan programs. I work closely with health educator, Terri Kersch to create special diets for students with allergies and other health related concerns.

I’m very proud of our team, past accomplishments and future goals for food service on campus. I am also very proud of our very own full service bakeshop where we produce some of the finest artisan breads and desserts using organic flour that have students, faculty and visitors singing their praises.

My three main focal points for fall of ’06 focus will be to introduce more organic and sustainable options for food service relying upon local growers and producers, offer more international flavors that will appeal to our ever changing campus population and extend healthy food options utilizing more international grain and meat alternatives such as Seitan and TVP. I look forward to working with the campus community and welcome feedback as we develop new ideas and products that will add to a more pleasant way of campus life
